Our Story

It was year 1987 and the month was October and the day was 24th, which is actually named as the United Nations Day,  I am proud to say that I was able to be the youngest of my loving family and the the small brother to my two beautiful elder sisters and to my one and only elder brother.

“Ruwan Tharinda Wigamage” is the name that my loving parents who gave me the life, have given by their conclusion. I was inherited my father’s name Wigamage. I’m a Buddhist in my birth.

My family is very unique because everyone takes care of everyone in some way. My family is my supporting system. My mother, father, brother and sisters all provide me with many type of support or guidance. To me family means my life, love, friendship, support, strength, and everything of mine.  

My Preschool is actually my home. Since my mother is a teacher and she taught me everything from the first day I started to learn.  
 

After at age of five, I had entered to my first school that was H/Hungama Vijayaba National School. My mother was also attached to the same school as an instructor to Social Studies at that time. Year one to year five, I had studied there and faced to grade five scholarships exam on 1997. That was actually the one of my life's turning point. I was able to score 147 from the grade 5 scholarships exam and I was very lucky enough to attended to the Ananda College Colombo by 1998 for grade 6.  Before attending to ananda college I went to H/Therapuththa National School for the first term of Grade six. 

Since 1998 to 2003 Anada college and the Hostel became my second home. It was the time that I have build up my life by my own and truly it was an awesome time to remember  and recall throughout the life time.

From Grade 6 last term, I started Playing my Favorite game. SOCCER(FootBall). It was just not a game and it was kind of a thing that set the base to my future life. Learned lot from this game too

At Grade 10 I was able to get a prize in Ananda college prize giving. It was not just a prize it was all about the dedication I had. The prize is for 100% attendance in year 2002 at grade 10 and becoming the 9th of the class from the exam. 

I have faced my o/l exam 2003 and got 8As n 1B as my results. B is for sinhala. With that result I was able to apply to MATHS or BIO section in our school. I selected Maths. In 2006 I faced to A/L for the first time and it was 2C n S. Then again sat on 2007 and the result was same but Z was little high. 

Since there was not much hopes for a uni life with that result, I registered at Open University on 2008 attached to Faculty of Eng Matara Center. 

But unexpectedly I have been selected for the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka for the Faculty of Applied sciences and I registered the course of Computing and Information Systems under the stream of Applied sciences on November 2008. 

I have passed out on September 2013 from SUSL with a second class lower division and with the GPA of 3.28.

Currently I am working at LK Domain Registry as the capacity of Assistant Manager.

From 18-08-2016, My story has become Our Story and it is continuing...

It was fresh and full warmth bright Monday, which was just after 16 days from the begging of New Year 1989. I am proud to say that I was able to fulfill the need of a girl to my loving family. And I did it so far as my best. With my birth, I took love, joy, expectations and everything to my family as the third child of my loving parents and the youngest sister of two elder brothers.

“Shalika Menik Priyadarshanee” is the name that my loving parents who gave me the life, have given by their conclusion. I was inherited my father’s name Uhanovitage. Then onwards my full name is Uhanovitage Shalika Menik Priyadarshanee. I’m a Buddhist in my birth.

My family is very unique because everyone takes care of everyone in some way. My family is my supporting system. My mother, father, and brothers all provide me with many type of support or guidance. To me family means my life, love, friendship, support, strength, and everything of mine.  

My Preschool year was very memorable, fun and very spiritual one. My preschool was Sri Sunanda preschool which was at Temple itself. So it made me devout in my life style implicitly. I met a lot of people and still remember the face of my teacher and some friends at preschool. I still remember how I learned name of colors, numbers, letters and many more things.

It helped me a lot to get advantage in kindergarten and an educated future. 

After the completion of one year preschool life, I had entered to my first school that was R/Erathna Maha Vidyalaya. Year one to year five, I had studied there and faced to grade five scholarships. 

After the grade five scholarship exam, I had faced to the selection exam of R/Kuruwita Central Collage and I got 3rd highest mark at that exam. Then I was selected and entered to the R/Kuruwita Central Collage at the grade 6. This is the place that I got most experiences which never ever forget with new friends, new teachers and very pleasant atmosphere in which our school is situated.  

I feel a great joy to participate in all these functions. I feel great pride in the prize-giving ceremony. Because I win a lot of prize for good handwriting. Debating and social service.

My life at school is full of pleasure. In it, study and play go together hand-in-hand. Hence, I like it most.

I am glad to say that I passed my school days very happily.

I did sit for my ordinary Level Examination in 2004 and passed with 8 As and 2 Bs. After pass the O/L examination, I did choose Math stream for my Advanced Level Examination and I was selected to the Ferguson High School, Rathnapura.

I have been selected for the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka for the Faculty of Applied sciences and I registered the course of Computing and Information Systems under the stream of Applied sciences.

I have passed out on September 2013 from SUSL with a second class lower division and with the GPA of 3.28.

Currently I am working as an IT Teacher at Sudagala Sri Rahula Maha Vidyalaya, Kuruwita.
